The Claim: People involved in the January 5th Incident at the Capitol can no longer be charged

Claimed by: Legal experts

We rate this claim: TRUE!

That’s right, patriots. Legal experts from across the internet have put their heads together and determined that the statute of limitations has run out to charge people for trespassing on Capitol grounds on January 6th, 2021.

They have no legal precedent for the opinion, but they do feel strongly enough to make extensive YouTube videos from the cabs of their pickemup trucks. Basically, it all boils down to this: Do you know the law or don’t you?

Since the answer for the bulk of our readership is “not to save our fucking lives,” this fact-check was incredibly easy. It’s totally feasible for the statute for trespassing has run out, but honestly, we don’t know, nor do we care. The headline covers the bias needed for pageviews.

In the real world, the FBI is still actively investigating the insurrection, and treasonous things have no statute of limitations. Anyone falling for this can expect to be turned over by real Americans and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

But…maybe not for trespassing. Again, don’t know…don’t care.

God bless America.
